Implosion: The Titanic Sub Disaster

This key art project captures the isolation and danger of deep-sea exploration, depicting the submersible suspended in a vast, shadowy ocean. A beam of light from the surface contrasts with the darkness below, emphasizing the sub’s fragility. Clean, bold typography grounds the piece, reflecting the film’s serious tone. The design aims to evoke tension, tragedy, and scale in a single, haunting image.

A gripping CBC Gem documentary examining the 2023 OceanGate submersible tragedy. Through expert insights and chilling real-time audio, it explores the fatal flaws behind the disaster.

We were commissioned to create the key art, motion graphics and for the film’s release.

One of the main challenges was the lack of usable imagery due to rights restrictions. To solve this, we built a detailed 3D model and created a photorealistic render, giving us full control and creative flexibility to craft a striking and accurate visual.
